A new talent student from the Antwerp Academy has got the opportunity to collaborate with the concept store RA in Antwerp. RA has other designers like my favourite Stine Goya and Belgian Jan-Jan van Essche. Visit RA’s homepage, have a look around and listen to fantastic music.
Narelle Dore, who is the talented designer in this case, grew up in Perth (Western Australia) and her A/W 11 collection is based on series of camera photos from the salt lakes near Perth. Her collection is shown in the back garden of the boutique, together with some afternoon tea.
When I decide to move abroad, my favourite brand settles down in my hometown. Ironic? But unfortunately, I can not find COS in Perth either.
This summer, H&M launch their first COS (Collection of Style) store here in Stockholm. Biblioteksgatan is the location, in the new shopping area called Biblioteksstan. Since 2007, the chain has 35 stores in eight different countries.
I have become obsessed with Proenza Schouler. They are fabulous! Brilliant! Amazing!
Their Pre-Fall collection 2011 has the right Guatemala touch, and is totally complete. Usually I do not like to much patterns and colours, but this is something else. It really works!
Jack & Lazaro are two of the most intriguing and fascinating designers. Just take a look at this video, they radiate creativity and passion. And see how they smile and look at each other in the beginning. Then consider the pieces they create. Lovely.

Pretty nice, huh? I want them first day in school, in mid February… Yeah, in Australia it is summer then. Feels good to say bye bye to Europe for a while.
I am down in south Sweden and visit my friends Stina, Viktoria, Evelina, Dan, and Linnéa. It feels like spring in Lund, where I am at the moment. The calmness this time a year in this student town, right before all students arrives back, is great. It is so quiet around here! In contrast to Stockholm, all shops and most cafes in Lund more or less are closed on Sunday, for example.

Their key is timeless. Nic & Mel is accessories for “boys and men with a vintage timeless feeling“, as they describe it themselves.
One of my most precious wristwatches is inherited from my grandfather, a Certina with leather strap, and needs to be winded up. This keeps it authentic and sustainable. Nic & Mel goes for the very same thing, all their watches do you need to wind up yourself.
Their aim is, with their design and function, to bring back what is lost from old times, get the best from history. I clearly see the guys point. Old stuff is sometimes too unappreciated.
Visit them and take a look in the Look Book. Classy watches, wallets, scarves and then this gorgeous man. Simple, pure and sophisticated.
“Resort is about real clothes for our friends. Everybody went so far into fantasy that we lost the public. There’s something about reality that feels fresh right now.”
– Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough, Proenza Schouler
Are these styles above not just amazing!
A resort collection is more or less a bridge between the seasons. It contains a mix of previous autumn/winter and spring/summer collections. In this case, Hernandez and McCollough brought inspiration from India to this specific collection.

Visited Fotografiska yesterday. The museum always has the most amazing exhibitions! Fashion! and Lady Warhol (Christopher Makos), together with Exploding Plastic Inevitable (Roland Nameth) are displayed right now.
My passion for museum and exhibition shops can not really be described, I can wander around in there for hours. All the various books, high, low, thin and thick, they all deliver intriguing stories and educate in all possible ways. For me at this stage, about to move abroad, I found a book about fashion in the new continent I am about to enter. FASHION Australia & New Zealand Designers documents the countries’ current designers of woman’s and men’s fashion. All these designers play a key role in today’s fashion industry. Probably will this be one of the first things to order when I finally reach the other side.
After further inspection (I think I stood there with the book in my hand more than 20 minutes), both campaign shots as well as relevant information about the designers had been found. It is a fortune for me that my new continent is this characteristic and innovative talented when it comes to creation.
Within one and a half month, I am in Australia! In Perth! Can not really believe it, it will not stay in my mind. Four years ago, I planned my first trip on my own around the world, and to Australia. FOUR YEARS.
It’s absolute impossible to imagine myself in this outfit above. Right now In Stockholm, we have -9 degrees and lots of snow. What I am wearing during the days, underneath my ordinary clothes, should we be censuring. Not that big deal, I promise.

Guess what is going on at my place? Study. We have three essays for next week, two for Monday (exam) and one for Thursday (4000 words). Have to remind myself now and then I actually have paid for doing this. Well…
Anyway, right now I would rather shop Christmas gifts for my dearest, than study! Uniforms for the Dedicated, who I have written about before in the blog, now have started a collaboration with Bonniers Konsthall. Uniforms latest collection is shown in the Christmas shop together with their own musical interpretation of the art gallery that is being played in the restaurant. “This is just a take off point for a long-lasting relationship between the two”, says Fredrik Wikholm, co-founder Uniforms for the Dedicated (according to A.W.B). Best place for Christmas shopping!
