MAYKA / LJUNGGREN / STHLM / FRE 7 JAN
(electro house, dubstep, indie, balkan, dirty dutch, fidget)
On Friday I suggest you and your friends pop in to Ljunggren (Götgatan) and enjoy my gorgeous friend Mayka.
Soon, soon, soon, she is all over the town (she is more or less already there), she starts organise her own nights and settles down at one specific club. I am fully convinced about that.
Do not miss her!
I am not able to share The Black Keys – Tighten Up, you need to click here to view it on Youtube. But please do- the song is great!
Urban Cone – a bunch of guys from Stockholm, described as a younger version of Miike Snow (S, US) within the indie/electro/rock genre. Rasmus Flyckt, Magnus Folkö, Tim Formgren, Emil Gustafsson & Jacob William Sjöberg are brilliant.
You can see, feel and experience them tonight at Debaser Slussen’s New Year’s Party, organised by Ace, LOST STHLM and Tom Tom Disco.
Happy New Year to you all!
As it looks, I will be involved in the preparations for Rookie of the Year 2011! Fantastic! The men’s fashion brand Uniforms for the Dedicated won the Rookie of the Year 2008 title, one year after they established. A/W 2010 shows clean, playful and functional fashion. Visit Grandpa or their own website to continue and discover the collections yourself.
They do not only design clothes. Music and artwork, as well as short films. This brilliant music video/short film, featuring Maria Nordström (formerly lead singer Zeigeist) is called March of No Coincidence and was released in October this year. I LOVE THE SONG. But on the other hand, I love Zeigeist too:
First class cancelled today. This morning, when the rain patters against the window-ledge, for once I have the time to read my favorite magazine BON, do the laundry and listening to delighful music. Has not been lots of time left for these things last couple of weeks, as of Brand X.
Meeting at 12 PM with the Gevalia workgroup, to start off this new project. We are a supreme group of people, with excellent skills. I will keep you updated!
This Monday evening is dedicated to one of my closest friends, Stina, who is in town. She is studying Social Work at Lunds University, and I am really proud of her. She will probably be one of the best social workers within this oblong country. We have tickets to CORNELIS, by Amir Chamden, the film about the great musical legend Cornelis Vreeswijk and his tough life as an artist.
